Frequently Asked Questions
Answering some frequently asked questions…
Am I suitable to be a supply teacher?
Anyone can become a supply teacher!
If you are passionate about teaching and keen to work with children then this could be a great opportunity for you.
What are the requirements to register with an agency?
In order to register with us, we require 2-3 months of UK based experience working with children. We require a full Enhanced DBS check and other documentation.
What are the next steps?
As soon as you think you’re ready to sign up with us - send us your CV! Once we receive your CV then on of the team will be in touch and give you a call if we have any roles which we think you’d be suitable for.
How long does the sign up process take?
We usually hold an in-person meeting to take you through all documents - this usually takes about an hour. Then it should only be a matter of weeks before we get you started with some work depending on if a new DBS check is needed.
What if I don’t like the school I’m placed in?
The beauty of agency is that if you don’t enjoy where you’re working - we can place you in a different school! You can try multiple placements until you find the perfect one for you.
What about if I want to go on holiday or have time off?
Agency work is always completely flexible, if you need time off or if you’ve booked a trip away - just let us know and we’ll mark you unavailable so you don’t have to worry about your shifts.
What should I do if I want to leave the agency?
If you decide to move on from working with us then don’t worry - just give us the heads up and we can take you off our system - no fuss, no notice period.
